Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of ROH Tutoring’s services, including the parent dashboard, student portal, live coaching sessions, and any related tools (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. Eligibility and accounts

The Services are intended for use by parents/guardians on behalf of enrolled students, ages 5–18.
Because our students range from age 5 to 18, student access to the Services is managed through the parent/guardian account rather than an independent student login, consistent with our children’s privacy practices (see Privacy Policy).
You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.
Accounts may not be sold, transferred, or shared outside your immediate household.

2. Description of Services

ROH Tutoring provides live group academic coaching sessions, a student practice/rewards portal, and related tools such as video conferencing (Zoom), collaborative whiteboard functionality, and (where applicable) IXL practice content. Features may be added, modified, or removed over time.

3. Payment and enrollment

Enrollment in paid coaching services is governed by the Group Coaching Services Agreement, accepted separately at enrollment. These Terms of Use govern general platform conduct; the Group Coaching Services Agreement governs the commercial relationship, payment, refunds, and cancellations.

4. Expected conduct

You and any student using the Services under your account agree to:

Treat tutors, staff, and any other session participants with respect
Use the whiteboard, chat, video, and screen-sharing tools only for their intended educational purpose
Not record, photograph, or share any part of a live session without ROH Tutoring’s prior written consent and, where another family’s child is involved, that family’s consent
Not upload, transmit, or share content that is harmful, obscene, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate for an educational setting involving minors

5. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Services to:

Harass, bully, intimidate, or humiliate any tutor, student, or other user
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user’s account, ROH Tutoring’s systems, or any connected third-party tool (Zoom, IXL, or others)
Introduce viruses, malware, or otherwise disrupt or damage the Services or any connected system
Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or to violate any third party’s rights

6. Moderation and enforcement

If you or a student using your account violates these Terms — including disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct during a live session — ROH Tutoring may end the session immediately, issue a warning, or suspend or terminate the account. A session ended for this reason is treated as a used session under the Group Coaching Services Agreement and is not refundable.

7. Intellectual property

All content provided through the Services — including tutor-created materials, worksheets, curriculum, portal content, and branding — is owned by or licensed to ROH Tutoring and is provided for your family’s personal, non-commercial, educational use only. It may not be copied, redistributed, resold, or shared outside your household without ROH Tutoring’s written permission.

8. Third-party tools

The Services integrate with third-party tools, including Zoom (video/whiteboard/screen sharing), IXL (practice problems), and FluentBooking (scheduling). Your use of these tools is also subject to their own respective terms and privacy policies. ROH Tutoring is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party tools.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” ROH Tutoring does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, though we take reasonable steps to maintain reliable and secure Services. See the Website Disclaimer for further limitations, including as to academic outcomes and scope of practice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, ROH Tutoring’s liability arising from use of the Services is limited as described in the Group Coaching Services Agreement and Website Disclaimer.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ROH Tutoring from claims arising out of your (or your student’s) violation of these Terms of Use or misuse of the Services, to the extent permitted by California law.

12. Changes to these terms

ROH Tutoring may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are subject to the dispute resolution provisions of the Group Coaching Services Agreement, to the extent applicable.
