Who we are
ROH Tutoring, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this website and related tutoring services, based in California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from visitors and users of our website and services, how we use and protect it, and how you can access, correct, or delete it.

A note on children's privacy
Our students range in age from 5 to 18, and many are under 13. All student accounts and profiles are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Students do not independently register or provide personal information to us. By creating a student profile, the parent/guardian gives verifiable consent, as required under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), for us to collect and use the child’s information as described in this Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child without this parental account setup and consent, and we do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to receive services.
Information we collect
From the parent/guardian (account holder), when you visit our site or register:
- Name, email address, phone number, billing address
- Payment information (processed by Stripe and/or Square — we do not store full card numbers)
- Scheduling information you provide through our booking tool (FluentBooking), including preferred session times and booking history
About the student, provided by the parent/guardian:
- First name, age or grade level, subjects/areas of need, and school (if provided, for curriculum context only)
Generated through use of our services:
- Session attendance and scheduling records
- Tutor notes and progress observations
- Performance data from practice problems and assessments (including via IXL, where used)
Automatically collected technical data:
- Device/browser type, IP address, pages visited, and similar technical data, collected via standard website analytics and security tools, for site functionality, security, and improvement
How we use this information
We use the information above to: create and manage accounts; schedule and deliver tutoring/coaching sessions (including through FluentBooking); track academic progress and share tutor notes with parents; process payments; communicate with you about scheduling, billing, or your child’s progress; maintain the security and functioning of our website and portal; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use student information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell student personal information to third parties.
Legal bases and your rights
For all users: You may at any time request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your child; correction of inaccurate information; deletion of your (or your child’s) information and account closure; or that we stop using your information for any purpose beyond delivering our services. Email tutoringroh@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally no more than 45 days.
California residents: California law provides state residents with rights regarding access to, deletion of, and correction of personal information, and protection from discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor these rights for all users as a matter of practice. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
European Union / UK visitors (GDPR): ROH Tutoring is based in and operates primarily for families in the United States and does not intentionally direct our services to residents of the European Union or United Kingdom. If you are located in the EU/UK and choose to use our Site, you may contact us at tutoringroh@gmail.com to exercise rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
Third parties we work with
- Stripe and/or Square: payment processing — billing name, payment details
- Zoom: live session hosting (video, screen share, whiteboard) — parent/student first name, session participation
- IXL: math practice delivery and progress tracking — student identifier, grade level, performance data
- FluentBooking: appointment scheduling — parent name, email, phone, scheduling preferences and history
We require these providers to protect your information and use it only for the purpose we’ve engaged them for, and we do not permit them to use student data for their own advertising purposes. If we adopt AI-assisted tools for tutoring content delivery in the future, we will update this Policy to name that provider before it is used with any student’s data.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality, security, and understanding site usage. We do not use these technologies to build advertising profiles of children.
How we protect your information
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information we hold, limit staff access to those who need it to provide services, and work only with third-party providers who maintain their own security standards. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Data retention
We retain account and student information for as long as the account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, unless you request earlier deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to parents by email before taking effect. Continued use of our services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
